I am in complete agreement with you, LaBelle, and I believe that no man, or woman for that matter, can do any more than God enables him/her to do.
I voted for Obama because I truly believe that he is the right leader for these times,but I also voted for several Republicans whom I felt would do a better job than their Democratic counterparts.
This is America,and we Americans should accept the results of the election and rally behind the president so that we all can benefit from living in this country which is still the best place on earth to live. Barbara J. Henry

Every election is an opportunity to seek change and make things better. Unlike so many who now predict Doomsday for our nation, I was extremely glad to see so many out casting their votes - sometimes waiting in line for hours to have their voices heard.

You stirred my sentiments dear Red,
So please read this while you rest in bed.
The bigger man he won the race,
Fuelled the lanterns in their hearts,
And of Liberty on Island Place,
She smiles as a reward,
Move forward, as I’m sure he will,
New energy that’s born of old,
To lead with firm hand and with skill,
And dreams today still bold,
He’ll oil the wells to spout anew,
To bring his nation back on top,
Makes laws for all, not just a few,
A better Christian is he still, than all the lot,
He will in history, I think,
Stand tall as brass, on harbours shore,
Bring back a nation from the brink,
A President they will adore,
Once more America will live,
And shine a light, on this our world,
Where inspiration she will give,
