Karla, Karla, Karla.... For me, "ignorance is bliss" still applies...what I don't know about the AD, I guess doesn't hurt me.. but I do wonder about things, and often spout my southern mouth...but.. I too wonder why when I ask "friends" who are NOT writers/authors to visit my site, they have to JOIN etc... they get confused, don't get to find out anything about my site, instead get frustrated joining something they don't want to do...they just want to see what I have to offer...to read... etc... Sometimes I like some of your work or the work of others and I ask them to "visit" ya'll...and they tell me the same thing..."can't get in without joining...too much trouble, etc"... so not sure how that is supposed to work on AD...how it used to work ??? Just know it's not so good now?? Stats?? Well, I found that page finally...and got excited a couple wks ago...then it's as if NO ONE cks my site anymore..or reads my work...etc... altho I read everybody's work...try to respond/comment as often as I can because I know it's important... but I rarely get comments/reviews...except from some of you who have become so dear to me...you know who u are!... so..it's sort of like highschool.... cliquish... but look at it this way... we support one another... we care....we value each others work and ourselves as humans who care about others... so... don't know if it's "summertimeblues" or what...just know that this too shall pass.... like everything... U keep my spirits up... alot... people like u, and Karen, and Fee, and Rosie, and Edwin, Georg, Larry, Lois, and others.. that's what matters most...isn't it? I love ur "hugs"... oh... and sometimes I do visit your site and don't tell u I've been there...just sometimes want to "refresh" myself...re-read your poems or look at your lovely face..put a face to your words... etc... I think many of us do that...not thinking that we didn't say "hi"... just browsing...passing thru thing... Love and hugs... lindalaw

Sweetie, what our dear friends Georg and Fee suggested is true, but this particular Summer, something else seems to be going on at AD - too many and too annoying techical issues for words, that, while causing difficulties in access and posting, both for authors and for visitors, have been resulting (especially along the last week) in greatly decreased hits' stats numbers, lack of e-mail notices... and, on the whole, in this rather "ghostly" or "deserted" atmosphere to the site. Let's hope that whatever is causing all this will be fixed soon... and you, dear Lady, keep on posting your wonderful works and don't let any of these issues bring your spirits down! :0)

Summertime...where the Old Man river keeps rolling, and on the hot fields the cotton pickers save their voices to praise you until the sun goes down...coming evening's cool you will hear them again, like a bunch of crickets.

It is sad when we don't get recognized for our work but as I was saying to someone else the other day who noticed her reviews had fallen off...it is summer and people are on the go a lot more.
