Karla - you are incredibly talented. Don't waste it on sorrow. Write for yourself, and enjoy the reviews you do get.
I was so enthusiastic in the beginning, because I thought that I would sell my books to the people who like my poetry. Wanna know how many books I've sold here on the Den?

Ain't that funny? But I don't care anymore. I love to write, that's what I do. I will promote my next book as well, if it sells here, or not. And reviews?? Sometimes I just don't feel like dropping a line, even if I liked the poem. Know that I sit here, relaxed and happy, enjoying what I read, and sometimes just being plain too lazy to review.

Get out of the rud and sharpen your pencil, sister!

Have 75 Trackers...tell how many reviews I get, but then again, see the quality of the people that do review, I prefer them, the few, than a lot of nonsensical ones.
Quality girl, not quantity, count your blessing that the few that do review are those from the top shelf.

Dear Karla first we have to write for us then we have to be willing to share with those who enjoy and chose to read what we share. I only get 12 to 15 reviews but I know I have put my heart on paper for those who chose to read. Just remember the ones who look forward to hearing from you.

I am sorry for your decline in reviews Karla, I've never got an abundance of reviews so I am used to it, but even I am noticing that those that used to review dont anymore, I review when I am able and I am catching up from when I was gone, you and Karen are of course some of the firsts I review, can you email me you know the addy, and let me know how you are doing, Ive felt the Lord pressing you and Karen on my heart lately

Those who are responding here are "our friends" Karla...you see how it is on AD... Everyone has their "clique" of sorts, and I don't know how it was in the "good ole days at AD" so I've NEVER had many reviews on ANYTHING I WRITE, and I KNOW some of my work is very good...(not everything of course) but Good.. Just like you and many others on here. It would be nice tho if some of the old pro's (who rarely review ????) and some of the newer ones (who rarely review????) would support other authors. I found that altho I like the works of several others on here, that I was reviewing all the time...and they would never review my work...I just got tired of that one sided effort....and realize that some people want it all, while they are not willing to understand/or care....that we have to support one another if we want to be supported...duh... I didn't know ya'll get/got sooooo many reviews for postings...I'm so envious....hehehehe...but... hey..I am thankful for the fact that I have some of you, my friends to check my work and say something nice every once in awhile... Sometimes a little back away from AD can be helpful...but then I start missing ya'll...and it's like an addiction to me...hehe...(like now) but... I hope you will get refreshed and return soon....or... not leave at all... These reviews do not even begin to validate our great works....and your works are great so... at least we are writing, posting...and hopefully someone is reading it... Hugs, lindalaw

Karla, the site has been so messed up lately, I haven't been getting any email notifications so I not only have to interupt writing something I'm really into to go everywhere looking for them, but I too don't get the reviews I would like. Heck some times on a poem I love, its only 6-8. But I write a lot and so I shouldn't expect more. Besides, my love of writing is all I have right now. And just for one person to say they liked it is a blessing. For I know God is happy with me by the way my life is going. Keep writing karla and forgive the idiots who don't take the time to tell you what a wonderful poem you have written. Take the rest my friend but only a rest, come back real soon. It's not just you. We are all having a decline in reviews! The old members have left, and the new members either don't want to review, or just think that they aren't good enough to give review, and some are just lazy in giving reviews.

It isn't like it used to be. I used to get at least 35 - 40 reviews just on one poem alone, now I hardly get any. Just from my loyal friends and fans.

I don't think it's right when certain individuals (including me) consistently get over 50 per poem when you bust your arse to get one together, then put your beautiful or awe-inspiring photoes to accompany them! You work hard at what you do, especially lately! Seems like the words aren't coming easily anymore for you. Take a break, you need to. This worrying isn't going to do you (or me or everyone here) any good. I'll be here waiting! I love you!

Go ahead and rest, if that's what you need. Probably, you're right. You'll be able to gain a new perspective for later. I wouldn't say writing is always "fun", although it is sometimes. It's more of a need than fun, I'd say. I'd certainly rather write than paint the kitchen or bedroom! Things like that. I'm sure you'll return all fresh and eager to produce new things! That'll be worth waiting for, I think.
