Best to check with individual areas. What's advised in my (Dal/FtWorth) area, is get your standard flu shot, then a month later, the swine-flu shot would be given. And the latter is still optional for me :o)
I remember the same "warnings" were give few years back about the swine-flu shots...I didn't get one then, but washed my hands a lot and carried paper towels to "scratch" my eyes and/or lips when out-and-about!
So...my advice? Do as you feel best for you...
