The problem is...they were all bribed with their "most wanted" state bills added on to the bond...to assure their vote...typical dirty politics

I have been actively contacting not only my own congressmen but many from other states to voice my displeasure at the prospects of rewarding theft and incomptence with my tax money. Many individuals should be investigated in this debacle. And many should be going to jail with immense fines, and the knowledge that every cent that have or ever will earn shall go to repay the damage the have done.

It's a mess and I am always writing to my representative. By doing it I feel I am letting them know that I am reading and listening to what is going on in our country.

I did the same thing, Dan. After all, at least we will know we were not silent on the matter. At the same time, I do have the gut hunch that our opinions do not matter to them. Maybe can not matter to them because of the nature and the depth of the problem. As Stan noted, it is a freaking mess. Our opinions do not matter because we are not one of the screaming real estate owners facing foreclosure, and we are not one of the screaming stockholders who is watching his corporate portfolio drop to zero, and we are not one of the screaming needy who cannot get credit because the lenders are backing away from consumer credit issues. This freaking mess is a systemic result of free enterprise gone wrong. This bailout is only a crude attempt to put the brakes on a runaway sliding economy. Now our representatives are trying to do damage control, and our letters may not even be read.
