Eileen, I will try to find it! Knowing Forster just a bit, I'm sure that he understood we're just people no matter what the mechanical trappings of life are.

I'm a big fan of Vonnegut's first book, "Player Piano", just to call yer rec and stay in the game. :-) Thanks!

Read "The Machine Stops" by E.M. Forster, written in about 1912. His vision of us will blow you away.
