It's that missing connection with reality that bothers me the most. I'm writing a novel about that very topic (and reality is a character, actually). I'm deeply concerned that we don't even have the skills to get out of the mess we're in.

It seems like noone cares how the world is going, they worry but don't do anything to fix it, crookedness abounds and things get through congress that would not have gotten votes to get through in past days. Our world is out of touch with reality now, and sinking fast. Who does want to do anything about it? More people should write their congressmen but they don't, I am guilty of that too. |
