This is a rather interesting and unique plot... and yes, things are looking so grim on all fronts, that a bit of comedy and sense of humor – instead of the usual “fire and brimstone”, desolation and damnation sceneries – might be a good “shot” of positive energy into people’s spirits! To win a war by actually “defusing” it before it starts, and through dance, too, reminds me of the true power of a good laugh breaking, unexpectedly, through the most enraged argument… and simply placating it, till both parties involved end up forgetting what opposed them so violently in the first place. So, yes, I like the Samba idea… I like Samba, a lot, and it is a genuine part of the Brazilian Way… with a very “Carioca” – from Rio de Janeiro – touch, which many have described as being the one of “sol, futebol, samba e Carnaval” (sun, soccer, samba and Carnival). I dare suggesting, however, that you change the title to “Maneira Brasileira”, this being the correct translation, in Brazilian Portuguese, of “Brazilian Way”. |
