If we don't reign in our species soon, there will be few other species left, and what a truly abysmal world we will be leaving to future generations.

DDT started few years ago the demise of many innocent creatures.
The farming resorted to fertilizing based on salpeter that polluted after awhile our lakes and rivers and killed anything that had their habitat under water.
Now our little Sarah wants to eliminate everyting that moves in Alaska, and if she becomes president maybe she will pass a law to eliminate the poor with autoweaponry to save money on Social Security.
Now, what we are gone to tell our children when we make the last bow before saying "goodbye, here's the world we are leaving to you"?

How I wish every person on the planet would read and understand this. We are so besotted with our uniqueness we have become the monster we fear.

No wonder humans have nightmares - WE are the monster.

Words from the heart of a true nature lover...I totally understand and agree with the feelings! Many days I have only nature in and about my back yard, and I know I have their/its love...and I love what I have!
