I write poetry as well as short stories and novels. I find it very difficult to write poetry when I am writing prose. I need to have completely free thoughts. I love it when a line or two of a new poem pops up in my mind. It's true I've hardly earned any money from my poetry but it is a pleasure to complete a new poem.
