Your argument is well-presented, I think. It's not easy to take a position. Of course, if Israel did indeed "get" the West Bank because of winning the war in 1967, then, basically, it is theirs to do what they please. How can we support the UK's claim to the Faulkland Islands near Argentina & not support Israel's claim? Colombia, where I live, has had some issues with Nicaragua, which claims some of the Colombian-owned islands. If nations are going to have to start returning these "spoils" of war, then eventually we (the USA) will have to return Texas to Mexico!! We wouldn't want to do that, of course! |
