I was in Northern,MN this weekend for a booksigning where the leaves were changing and the lakes--still beautiful--your poem reminded me, once again, of the importance of appreciating nature.

When I was a kid, I and a friend or two would 'sleep out' on the banks of a spring on some land we used to own. The rushing water seemed to cleanse a then 'tortured soul'!

There is truly somthing magical about the sound of running water whether a raging river, a small stream, a waterfall, the waves or even the falling rain...all seem to rejuvenate the spirit. Well written piece thanks for sharing your feelings.

I too have a thing for the sweet music of the water Amber. I often go to sleep by the sounds of the water. Thank you for sharing.
