Dear Cynthia,
Been in Nigeria ("donation", Mexico (la mordida"), Russia (B3RTKa) and so on...
The corruption is rampant in some countries politicians and military, like for example Philippines, but in general the Philippine people is honest and can't be compared with the ones I above mentioned.
The problem is that the UN is too dominated by foreign, to the good of all countries, interest.
Philippines should be proud of their country and its people, because we know not to take them with the same disgust we have for their politicians.

You have made a very good point here Cynthia. Unfortunately, misery loves company and you not alone in what you are experiencing or in what you say. Most countries today are being led in much the same way as yours is. Even in the relatively short time that he has been our leader here in the USA, Mr. Obama has already broken many of the promises he made during his campaign. Blaming it on "politics I was not aware of" is no excuse for the wrong doings that are still taking place, and in some cases, continues to grow and flourish. It is so sad that in these times of man's technological advances in science that corruption still abounds. Our world is in sad shape today and shows no signs of getting better in the foreseeable future. Stay well and God bless my friend.
