Wonderful piece....too bad the subject is so awful...yet, reality! It's as if we must find a place and STOP...DELETE...and begin again! Will life recycle back to what was better? I just don't know..?? My generation was of hippies, drugs, and all that finding ourselves...somehow...I was in the middle of it, but didn't do any of the things everyone else around me was doing..how I pulled it off? I don't know.. however.. the next generation was taking care of their druggie parents, and then it went back to horrors..and progresses..to more horror.. sad yet...what do we do? Each has to do his/her own best to change our personal lives...one by one I suppose? Great job with this piece Cynthia..lots of thought went into this.. hugs, lindalaw

This is a very well written piece. And carefully thought out. This is a message that should be broadcast loud and clear to every parent. It begins at home. Too many parents think the responsibility belongs to someone else. Put the child in front of the tv (or video game) and let them be entertained. But what are our children learning? Exactly as you have stated my friend. Exactly!

I am amazed at the variety of PC programs for "children and youth" with mayhem, shooting, stabbing, beheading, gore and blood that are advertised without restrictions on TV, Magazines and the lot.
All under that ubiquitous mantra #the freedom of speech"
You can maim an person again and again, reset and do it all over again, after a while the distinction between reality and fantasy merge.
And a thirteen years old goes berserk, because he can do it again and again, but, sadly, there are no reset.
