Made a mistake I had been a chimney sweep since 1984 not 2008 and have no idea why I said 2008. And I am 86 not 89... My major problem with my age is that (I might have told you before) but my major problem is that my eyesight is failing, but why I typed 2008 and 89 I have no idea. Also I noted some typos, but please chalk it off to poor eyesight and even poorer editing...Mark

Eva, I know how you feel and how the producer of your gnome feels... I have been a one man chimney sweeping company (The Flue Bug Chimney Sweep) since 2008. But now at age 89 I no longer clean and inspect chimneys and have not so for four years. But I still get calls from past customers and some referrals. As is so happens, most of the people I speak to have no idea why a chimney sill smoke or even if it needs a cleaning. I will tell then that I o longer do it, but will talk to them about their problem and help to solve the problem over the phone, of course at no charge... All of these people are so glad that I took the time to even talk to them as no others would do it and helping them makes me feel good.
