I think most of us are like that....We form sentimental attachments to something that has brought us happiness and pleasant memories....When I finished my Jayson Gannon short stories I felt sadness that I had completed something that meant so very much to me....But of course there are times when we need to move on to the next big thing that will create memories....

I love the way you bring small details of life into focus and really cherish them. Sentimentality can sound silly, but true "seeing" makes us more alive, not simply attached to mementos. It's a significant memory that matters—our shared lives. Glad you're making progress on your work:) |
