I too live near a shipping port, Port Elizabeth,NJ and see plenty of sea glass on the beach. Usually I'm doing a shoreline clean up with my group BayonneNatureClub.org A friend makes jewelry with the glass I find and give her. Good fun outdoors with plenty of adventure! I enjoyed your finds!

Amazing that you can tell about how old the glass is—never thought of that. Like how sharp-peaked mountains are younger than round-topped mountains. Makes sense. Enjoy your day and your hunt for new glories.

What a fantastic new hobby you've come up with.. the area and scenery seems to be absolutely beautiful and, who knows, a piece of truly antique glass from two, three hundred years ago might wash into your hands.
