Eva, your story reminds me of the first 2 summers that I was in my apartment, that of a small hawk who perched itself on a tree limb outside my living room window. I still on occasions see the little one flying around, but it no longer perches itself nearby, as I have heard that the little hawk now hangs out in a yard down the street from here.

I enjoyed your bird thoughts. I was once a very bird-obsessed Audubon-type person, complete with my Sibley guide in its own pouch, binoculars, and those goofy outdoorsy clothes in drab brown and green!

A lovely distraction that may fuel the fires of creative thought:)

Some days it doesn't take much to distract me, but once I get into my zone—It's hard to come out of it.
