Good work! I'm inspired! I've been sorting through old copies of magazines, old books and miscellaneous papers but I'd like to move on to more serious dumping and donating. Why should I keep old copies of Circus Magazine from my teens? And then there's a collection of nice blouses that haven't seen the light of day since I retired. Thanks for putting us on the right track!

My God, Eva! How could you throw those old dead and dried roses out the toys of your long deceased cat? How could you do such things... My wife Bonnie is a saver. Oh, not a hoarder kind of saver but a saver of bolts of sewing and quilting and embroidery kids of materials... Oh, yeah then there's the stuff that she knows no one will want that she didn't want.... Recently we have been making many trips to "Good Will", thank God.

You're a brave woman, Eva. I've long thought that property too often ends up owning me, so I've tried multiple times to simplify. Not so easy with kids. Yet, the discernment process matters. We're going to leave it all behind one day. What do I want my kids to remember me by—my stuff or my presence? You've got the right idea. Blessings.

Wow, Eva! Good for you! Thanks for sharing your process with all of us. My husband and I are currently in the throes of throwing out lots of stuff.
