My favorite song is "I'll be home for Christmas...if only in my dreams." I've always loved being home for the holidays, rather than travelling long distances in terrible winter weather. So glad we now have Zoom and other possibilities for visiting.

Interesting information about songs. My question is why songs about winter are so prevalent around Christmas time, especially since I live in Los Angeles. Of course, Irving Berlin had a hand in it by starting "White Christmas" with the words: "It's December 24th, and I'm longing to be up north."

Eva, your blog got me thinking about having a song of my own, don't know why, but for me I think it would have to be "Bye-Bye Miss American Pie" Don't know why. |
