Retirement has its benefits! One being that we don't have to get out of bed and head up the snow-covered highway! I have second thoughts about walking to the near-by store. Who needs to fall on ice and break a hip? Being writers means we can accomplish plenty staying home.

Ah, Eva. You're a lady after my own heart (Did I say that right). I have told you that I have failing eyesight.

About seven months ago, coming off the 101 freeway. turning onto a smaller but well traveled street, I wandered into the bicycle lane and doing about 40MPH I spotted a motorcycle officer in that lane about 2-300 yards up and very quickly steered into the traffic lane.

The officer turned his lights on and followed me into a mini mall where I stopped, told him I was sorry.. Because I could have killed him at 40 MPH.

When I got home, I gave Bonnie my keys and told her to call the insurance Co and take me off our policy and have not driven since...
