Your pomanders match my attempts at yard sales. I learned much about marketing and the psychology of selling. Likewise, self-publishing has been personally satisfying, with readers responses giving me insights about reader's expectations. The income hasn't covered the cost of publishing the books. The creative experience is fun and wonderfully satisfying. Better than doing jigsaw puzzles!

Eva, when I began to write 'The Climbing Boy' I did it on a royal typewriter and went through reams of paper takwing me possibly two years to finish it. Then the process of finding either a publisher or agent taking me five years along with hundreds..."Hundreds of of outgoing envelopes and stamps and the cost of printing a few sample pages along with a self addressed, stamped envelope (sass) for when they returned what I had sent...I think that since 'finally' being published, and put onto Amazon.. NOTE: there was no Amazon during this entire process. since being published and put onto Amazon I believe I made, at the most, possibly $150.00. However it was and still is a "labor of love.
