Lobster!
Broiled, Main lobster was my parents favorite and special treat, however living in Chicago it was also, for them, and I I grew older a very expensive treat.
Whenever they would go to their favorite restaurant...now in the center of Chicago's daily killings... as they always bought three pound lobsters, my mother would bring the claws home for me

I remember that on the night before my bar-mitzva they brought me to 'Barneys' for my first three pounder... Still do love lobster.. but still find it expensive.

Good remembrance... Think's, Eva.

Danny Mac said...

when in much younger clothes, I met a man my grandfather's age, and he hated lobster. Upon asking, he explained, "I ate lobster three times a day for most of my youth. It was the only thing my widowed mother could afford." He further explained when he grew up, lobster was poor people food and he always associated with being poor. So, he pushed himself, so he never had to eat lobster again.
