Here in SoCal, I do miss the changing of seasons, but not once Autumn turns to winter, at least the Chicago winters I remember so well. Here the seasons change with almost no notice.
As we are under strict drought conditions, Bonnie and I are in the process f pulling all the grass from our 10 foot by ten foot front yard and replacing with California Gold stones, and drought resistant flowering ground cover, giving us a flowering desert appearance that will no longer need watering.
Do miss the mums also, though.
