A post filled with sentimental memories. Sometimes, our memories are alive because of the things we kept.
I, too, always had trouble when it was time to throw things away. Even though I knew I might never use them again, I would still keep them. Some I kept for sentimental reasons because of my husband. The first set of knives and dishes we bought when we first got married. Also, a knife he bought his mom as a present when he was a little boy. There were three glasses, which he claimed were antique glasses. I kept them all. My own grandma's antique dishes, which my grandmother got when she got married. It serves a table of 12.
I put them away, but I have never used them since I took possession of them. All these are still with me. Instead, I use the cheap dishes I bought from Amazon, or the dollar store. LOL!!!
I was keeping them for my husband and my grandmother.
