Wolves cull the weak and insure a healthy caribou population. Hunting takes the alpa animals and reduces herd vitality. Killing predators causes grazing populations to explode, resulting in over-grazing, environmental degradation, and ultimately, starvation and disease.

Very sadly, because of Governor Palin's $400,000 'We Need To Kill More Wolves' campaign, the Anti-Aerial Hunting Resolution in August - lost.

On August 26, Alaska voters went to the polls for a third time to vote on the issue of aerial wolf hunting. More than 70,000 Alaskans voted to end the use of private aerial hunters, and to limit the practice to Alaska Department of Fish and Game personnel only. Unfortunately, a well funded opposition, coupled with a strong turnout in conservative voters, led to the defeat of the ballot measure.

So aerial slaughter of wolves and black bears and grizzlies will continue in Alaska. And Governor Palin is now campaigning to get the Polar Bear removed from 'Threatened Status' so oil drilling can soon begin in earnest.

What a truly sad symbol for America - a potential Vice President - wanting to slaughter all our wildlife.

People just don't get it Michael, these politicians don't care anything about wildlife and precious little about human life, what they care about is money and power.
