Sandie, I had what I call a blonde moment I recall so vividly this past summer. My family had lunch at a restaurant we've only been to twice. I asked the waitress where the public restroom was. She pointed me in the right direction. Puzzled, I asked her if she was sure I could go in there as it had "Patrons" on the outside. Duh...in my blonde moment, I equated "patrons" with "employees".
