Mary E, I am new to this site, so if I am not doing this correctly, so be it. I read your blog and smiled. Recently, my friend and I were lamenting about just this subject. I actually have the original 'like to teach the world to sing' song on my mp3 player. My friend looked at me when she heard it and said, what the hell is that? But...she now has it on her player. lol. It is universal and well liked. Like any Michael Jackson commercial back in the day. I remember coming in from the kitchen hurried because a favorite ad was on the telly. We looked forward to those almost as much as the shows we coveted back then. Times, they are a changin...

I resonate with this! I have often shared commercial jingles that are still in my memory. Remember the McDonalds “ you deserve a break today”? Then there’s h”have it your way at Burger King”. I’m not retirement age but can relate! Maureen Kuntz |
