bacteria, grit and good old grime -- they are not a crime my dear -- for they have been with us since the very beginning -- and as Linda so accurately states, all of the water on earth, is the original water -- it was here when the dinosaurs roamed -- as for your broiler concern, surely you know, the broiler heat will do in the bacteria from the, unbrowned side -- may love, peace and joy be always with you -- JMW

uh... I try not to think about it. But I do touch the taps and door handles with a piece of paper towel before I open them. But....hey, wait a minute, the paper had oooy gooy on it too. Can't win.

To take it a bit further, my dear friend and colleague, did you ever consider that all the water that we drink has been around since the beginning of the world. Wonder how many times it has been drunk before? By a brontosaurus maybe???
