free from lulu for me means being able to be with another printing house where I can offer my books at a very decent price.
Example:
Patty Poet with LULU and my mere 3 cent royalty was over $23.00 after lulu adds their price inclusions for everything and their $1.40 service charge unless I offer free downloads...ugn!
With createspace
Patty Poet is $13.50 with a modestly higher revenue and connections to libraries & more no extra charge!

Thats Freedom! It's amazing how ripped off I was with lulu....
