Michele, I do understand your hurt feelings; but I must agree with Sandie...I was going to suggest that she is on medication and/or just going thru a stage where she just isn't herself...and so...this just didn't go well for either of you. Look at it this way tho...the prayers will help, not hurt...whether she wanted them or not...because she has other issues right now.. so just like when we "give" because we believe in something...then the person does something against what we had hoped with it...well, we just have to "let it go" because we gave for the right reason... and prayer is always for the right reason.. You are a loving and kind friend, and cannot know the pain and suffering she is going thru internally, physically and emotionally... so let it go, and be thankful that you could do what you could, and will continue to love her and be there for her... God has a plan in all of this...so just keep looking to him for the way... hugs, lindalaw

Hi Michelle:

Just to let you know that I have seen my mother-in-law changed from a very sweet lady into a not-so-pleasant lady towards the end of her bone cancer stage. It's not the person himself/herself that you find offensive. It's all because of the cancer cells are probably gone to her brain and eating it. Please give her the kind support and understanding as you always do, for once a person is gone he/she is gone forever, and there's no return trips for her.

I can understand your frustration through kindness; but by understanding that it is kind of her stage of the disease she (the person herself) has no control of what she will do or say. Sometimes she might say to you or the ones she loved the most hurtful thing, but it is NOT her who's saying it, it's because of the cancer cell that is eating her brain to cause her to say hurtful things to the ones she loved.

My mother-in-law has been a good mother all her life; and she was very close to my eldest sister-in-law; but during the final stage of her life, she had said some very hurtful things to my sister-in-law, but we all know that this was NOT her who was talking. We understood her and continue to love her despite of everything she had said.

You will feel so much better after she's gone, for you will know that you have never failed in being her friend.

Love and Peace to you and this lady,

Sandie Angel :o)
