I have no respect for ANYONE who is stupid to get behind the wheel of a vehicle while drunk and drives. Boy, talk about a loaded weapon! I seriously think they ought to crack down on alcohol like they do the smokers; they're too busy getting away with murder (sometimes literally)! Better yet, I think they ought to OUTLAW alcohol; anyone caught with it should be thrown in jail and/or have their driver's licence revoked--PERMANENTLY!!

Know you and your friend's family are ever in my prayers and thoughts! But you are doing a good thing by praying for them, forgiving them; I wouldn't be as kind! Or as forgiving!

You have written about a topic that has touch almost everyone's life out there...for many of us had lost a loved one through alcohol...sad and God bless you and your dear friends family...my prayers that this will end and for the family who lost so much...love, Bonnie

I was so proud of Karla to write what she did here... and proud of you MIchelle for pointing out these tragic circumstances! I lost my grandfather when I was young by a drunk driver...and I just get so concerned about these people who take the lives of others! I'm sorry for your loss and your pain. hugs, lindalaw

I am an alcoholic. I have been sober 24 years. Know what got me to stop? Blacking out and not remembering driving home. ONLY by the Grace of God I didn't wreck, hit, injure or kill anyone. Stopped drinking right then. I get angry, too. Especially when they get slapped on the wrist, set free on the road to drink and drive again. I'm sorry for your loss.
