Hi Michelle... I read your sad blog, plus Sandie's heartfelt comment, and I suppose we are all of the same place...We care! When I was young my own family always criticized me because I was giving and cared about everyone around me...They said I was "buying friendship"...It hurt then, and as the years passed...well, it followed; yet I never thought of it in that way. I instinctively "feel" the pain or joy of others, and want to help if I can. Sometimes I suppose that meant I was giving more than I should...but to me...well, I loved that I could do something to ease their pain. Either way...we lose it seems, unless we realize that this is how we are inside. I asked my Pastor about this several years ago, as I cried. "What is wrong with me that people call my caring for them a "flaw"? I feel good when I give I told him, yet people make me feel ashamed that I care or help.. Well, I hope you can take this as I did, because it changed my mind about what was a "flaw" to others. My Pastor said that GOD GAVE ME THE GIFT OF GENEROSITY, CARING, AND FORGIVENESS! Can you imagine! A GIFT...NOT A FLAW! So now I continue in my quest, and have not regretted my actions. God gave me this gift, and if the receiver and others do not take that with a loving heart...then that is THEIR PROBLEM...not mine! Just move on...and never change. Sometimes, however...we have to be practical and remember...DO NOT FEED PEARLS TO THE SWINE! Pretty tough words...but it applies in many ways...even with loved ones... Back away Michelle, but never be unkind...that is not your GIFT...Just as Sandie has many GIFTS, because I have received them from each of you...and whether you knew it or not...your words, often got me through the day... hugs and love, lindalaw

You are too caring...like me. I have been crying my eyes out for the past few hours, imagining how bad the situation my friends are in. We always want to help our friends, that is our nature. I think you and I have strong empathy for others' pain and suffering, and then at the end we suffer. I don't mind that though, my friends are still my friends. I cry when I feel for their pains. My eyes are all swollen now from crying for their pains.

I know what you mean when you give 100% of yourself to others when others don't seem to appreciate it. I've been there. Those of us who want so much to help others, care for others; yet, sometimes we are the ones who get hurt at the end when friends turn the other cheeks. I've been in the same situation, and had been hurting for a long time already.

Take care, and don't be hurting anymore. I know it's easier sad than done, but we must move on in life.

Hugs,

Sandie Angel :o(
