Great poem! And so true too! I can even name a few already whom I know of.
While these people group themselves into a little corner there are just so few things that they can do. They missed out on meeting the real world, having meaningful friendships and relationships with others. It's bad when people group themselves into a little corner. Like living at the bottom of a well syndrome, or head in the sand syndrome.
I am retired (retired ever since my husband was diagnosed with cancer. Well, he has passed on already), yet I go places, meet people. I do my everyday things. The only thing I can't do now is to travel because of the stupid pandemic, but I won't and refuse to sit in a corner. I go out and do things, even for a few minutes or an hour or so a day to keep myself sane. I also call up my friends and relatives just to be connected with them.
This pandemic can really get to you when you just sit in a corner with just a few friends.
