Hit one of my sore-spots with this, Jon! I doubt if S.S. monies 'borrowed' to fund the Nam "War" has ever been paid back! At that time our S.S. was in good shape, and growing! I've probably written over 100 letters (snail mail), and made as many phone calls on this subject since late '60s. Someone's scratching backs, and it isn't the constituancies'!! Good Blog!! - Micke

I hope many voters will have the good horse sense to show such politicians where they can go--via the polls!!! Why are they still there in office?

Good point Jon. That's why I write satire. While politicians pledge to do good, they often end up feathering their own nests at the expense of the people. You right, we must make them accountable for their action.
