Gene Williamson is one of the den's great assets -- his diverse writing skills, his desire and drive to encourage those of us lacking his great skills -- but more, so much more, he is the best of friends with all he meets in the den --a kind word about your work from Gene, is like an Oscar to the struggling wannabe writers -- a tremendous confidence booster -- bravo, Bonnie, no more deserving recipient of your tribute will you find -- Abdi-Noor I have titled the den's man for global peace and love -- a noble warrior in the defence of the oppressed peoples of the world -- including his own native land of Somalia -- compassion is not something many wear with pride on their sleeves, Abdi-Noor does -- an excellent choice for your tributes Bonnie -- my congratulations to both of these fine individuals -- when I grow up I aspire to embody the traits of greatness within each of these gentlemen -- much love and peace to you my dear friend -- JMW

A friend to all that is Gene, and a very caring one at that. He is there when you need him too with his generous comments from his heart. Says it straight like it is.

I wish for "STRONG HOPE" for Abdi-Noor and his people where he lives, and they struggle! HOPE is there, as their hearts are made aware!

Sorry about not knowing of Gene (will check).
But of my desert wanderer brother, that very gentle gentle man with eyes that shine with happiness of the future and not tears of the past...no words will ever suffice to tell him how we feel for the plight of his land and for his exodus.

I feel honored to be offered such a beautiful tribute by an author I so deeply admire and cherish her works, Bonne May. I must thank her along with my fellow AD mémbers who inspired me to write and shared my feelings with rest of the world. Somalia needs your help and the least you can do is to pray for it.

One of the beautiful things about these tributes is that you are introducing me to authors I have not (yet) known. Very cool, Bonnie :-)

Abdi-Noor is known and so highly valued and we all send our prayers and support to him as he struggles for his oppressed people.

What great joy it is to make Bonnie's honor roll--and to share this tribute with Abdi-Noor, the voice of hope for his nation's people. Please know, dear Bonnie, that I consider this to be an honor among honors, one I cherish and will never forget. I am beginning to feel like a broken record, because each time you write a beautiful tribute, it simply amazes me. Your heart is so full, and you know who to give a loving poem to...these are up-lifting, filled with goodness, and special to those named, and to us...the readers! I know Gene's work and totally agree with you, but now I shall check the work of Abdi Noor Mohamed? There seem to be so many wonderful writers on AD, and this is one way to meet them and read their work...Thank you, Lindalaw
