I too hate daylight savings time, commuting and 38 degree weather. As a matter of fact, I recently changed the hours of my business from 9-5:30 to 10-6, partly due to daylight savings time, not to mention the absurdly lengthy commute to and from work every morning (75-120 minutes depending upon traffic and weather).

I just started yesterday to ride a bit again...I wait till it stays light out late, so the savings time does right by me...Maybe u could move to the south of work so u could use the south wind on the way to work, then the north wind on the way back...but I supposed thats too much to ask of a Californian...LOL...anyway, I only ride in the complex I live in, at least for a couple of weeks till my legs start not to hurt...wish I had your bike but I am stuck with a Huffy Stone Mountain that I just had a guy tune up for me for next to nothing money wise...I am still thinking of a Schwinn Hybrid with the skinny road tires but with the knobs on them kinda like the ATB machines...anyway, enjoyed reading of your problems out there in warm weather land...keep biking...Ed |
