It was a good recount of your friendship with Charlie and the events of your visit.
Black clothing should not be worn when bicycling at night. It would double the danger of being hit by another vehicle.
I remember I wore a black jacket when I was young. I was actually hit and dragged and gone underneath the vehicle because the blackfap of my jacket got caught in its wheel. It came to the point where my jacket was tightly caught and the next is to run over me. I said loudly to God, "That's it, God, I'm coming to see you now." But as soon as I've finished saying that, the driver took a reverse motion with his vehicle, and freed me and my jacket. I quickly stood up in the middle of the road as soon as I was freed. The driver was in awe that I was actually underneath his car. He didn't even know that. I believe I was truly blessed on that day.
