For some bloggers it could be the only social life they have. For example, if a person is blind, or in a wheel chair, or lives out in the boondocks like that nurse in the movie Misery, then blogging is natural, an outlet. It's hard for those people to get out and go places. Also, some people simply enjoy communicating with others. The exchange, interaction that takes place.

Since you've already made up your mind (ie; your reasons as stated in your own blog)....why bother to ask?
I admit, Mr. Engelke speaks for many...For myself...I blog for all of the above...and when I'm heavy into working on my manuscripts or writing for $$$$, etc....it's a nice relief to ck in with friends here and connect... Who really cares what we write about, as long as someone gets benefit...the writer, the reader, whoever! lindalaw
