I guess we will never truly understand why some women choose to suffer at the hands of an abuser!

Now you get me started! Some of these women are masochistic, let's face it. The more harm some sadist does to them, the better they feel, apparently! Sad state of affairs, to put it mildly. I once asked a workmate (who I suspect was "supporting" her husband) why she did it. She replied had I ever tried loneliness? Apparently she'd left him at some time, but it was worse than the toil and trouble she was involved in. Sometimes I wish God, in His sweet way, would simply "remove" those kind from our midst! But He knows when, how and why. That I never doubt!

Hello Glenda,
My friend suffered the same injury when her husband hit her with a big jar, causing a skull fracture and left her with one ear deaf. After pressing charges and going to court, he asked her forgiveness and SHE TOOK HIM BACK.
Asked why she did, she gave the excuse that he did not have anywhere to go!
Now the cycle has happened again, and the law does not protect her anymore - because of double jeopardy. I think
she "blames" herself for the abuse, and
"enjoys the martyr syndrome" being
deceived by her false idea of "love".
She could be mentally in need of values
alignment - a warped concept of love is a killer in disguise.
