I, too, pray for all those in the path of Gustav. Living near the ocean for much of my life was always a blessing but the wrath of weather is something no one can control so all we can do is pray. Every once in a while I long to see and hear the ocean again but right now I'm happy that we are safe where we are. Living in central Florida all year brings some dangers but we pray we will escape as before. One thing we can be thankful for is the lesson we all learned from Katrina. I was impressed with the quick preparations that were made. At least this time the toll won't be as bad as it was three years ago.

I have been following Gustav also and find my prayers go with those who had to evacuate too. We don't always realize how fortunate we are to live out of the way of that ocean. I too love it, but not living there makes me feel much safer indeed. |
