I loved this write. My husband was the same way. I've always been a plant lover. I have about 60 - 70 indoor plants. I remember my late husband saying one evening, "You know, sometimes I'd like to put my feet up on the coffee table but I can't because of the (bleep) plants." I replied, with a smile, "Sweetheart, that's what footstools are for."

Hi Katt - I'm also a Floridian but temporarily working in Chicago (cold & snow) until mid December. My wife is here with me so I fly home every other weekend .... to water her 'plants' or maybe I should say trees. Huge potted palms, ficus & things... I have no idea what they're called. They're on the wrap-around front porch, the screened in back porch & inside the house. Some of 'em are 6 to 8 feet tall! The irrigation takes care of the other "stuff" but it takes me 2 hours to water everything. Sheesh.

Beautiful blog about those flowers. keep as many as you wish around. They are cheerful and brighten up everyone's home. As for the accident, we are stupid sometimes and have them. I know I wrapped my front fender around a fireplug 2 months ago, and everyone does something like that in a lifetime. |
