life changes are often so hard to accept, I too remember when the writers were so many, but I too haven't written as much since returning to the classroom, the day will come that I retire and then again I can write, write, write,

I miss reading your work too!

Sorry that I just got here. I seem to have responded this request before, perhaps in answer to a poem or an article.

There are many reasons why people have left AD: Some have lost the muse, as they have stated here. Some have become too busy with their work to write. Some come only infrequently, like you. Some lack money to continue to pay for a membership. Some have become ill and unable to write. And, finally, some perhaps, have died.

The website is constantly changing and there are always new poets to read here. There Is so little positive feedback for new poets, I'm surprised any of them stay.

Let's give the new writers some reads. Someday they will be the old writers. I do understand what you are saying though.

I know what you mean. I have not been inspired to write for quite some time. I visit the site now and then to see what others are up to, but it's really not the same. I wonder where the muse has gone...

I hear you, my friend. I too miss the old writers, especially the poets, who used to be here. It just isn't the same, I've been thinking abut moving on.
