I was a junoir in high school and remember this travesty very well. I wonder what happened to all the wounded? Excellent blog. 4 dead in Ohio. We sang it in the halls of school as the boys worried about what number they would get in the birthday lottery. Would they get a high number and could go on with their life? Or would they get a bad number and have to keep worrying? It was not a pleasant time. Liz

Too bad people forget. But there again - let the government try conscription now and see what happens! Hopefully they did not die in vain.

Has it been that long ago? Wow. I am from Ohio, originally - remember this event very well. I was 11 years old, remember reading the newspaper - sadness.
