It truly amazes me that so many people refuse to believe that our world is rapidly warming. Although some may dispute the fact that we humans are causing it ourselves, how can they dispute the melting icebergs and glaciers? The tree-killing insects that now survive winter? The droughts and wildfires caused by excessive heat?

Like you, I walked through the woods yesterday, and it was a balmy 50 Degrees. There is definitely something wrong with this picture.

Weather is as weather does and has for eons. We are flyspecks on universal calendar. Still, for our place in time it is unusual. Patrick

Ah, global warming is rising its ugly head again. This seasonal change has been going on for centuries. Last winter was a double hard one, this year so far has been pretty mild. My take on the difference is simple, last year was "very" wintery, this year so far has been "very" mild. The earth is in a constant change, just as we, it's inhabitants.

we're a bit warm for this time of year also, Anna, but here, unless unseasonably cold, it's not so unusual to be into a hot spell with temps into the eighties. Remembering your winter last winter, I'd say just enjoy.
