"Have you ever had a night when you couldn't sleep?"
6 Comments - Show Original Blog
I have suffered with insomnia off and on for the past 20 years or so... I have found that whenever I am in a new place the insomnia is really bad for the first couple of months. I think stress has a lot to do with my problems. I also discovered that I am allergic to cardboard though... Which would make some sense with me not being able to sleep each time we moved... I think my brain just runs too fast and won't shut off enough to let my body rest properly.
Sorry, I know that isn't much help.

I had to laugh at the different responses... Sandie, you are always an angel, and come up with logical reasons... true ones...the meds were mixed and not for me.... then... Jack, you make me laugh...$1000 sure...send it again...and I promise to forget to send it back...no loan remember...gift...hehe... and.. Bonnie... you are wise... and...MIchelle you have reasons... your condition is not easy to deal with, so I can't compare my ills to yours...you deal with yours so well...you do inspire me... hugs to all of you... lindalaw
Hi Linda:
Sometimes it could be the medication that you were taking was too strong for you and caused you to be disoriented.
When my dad was in the hospiital the doctor gave him a kind of antibiotic medication that was too strong for him, when we took him home, he didn't even know where the food goes after he puts it into his mouth. He had to ask us where the food went after he swallowed.
When we asked him to sit down on the chair and the chair was right next to him. Instead of just moving over to sit down on that chair, he began to turn around walked down the hallway, then into the kitchen, then came back out, then came back to where he was standing to begin with; we literally had to move him over and told him to sit on that chair.
When he put on his shoes, he put them on the wrong feet. The left shoe on the right foot, and the right shoe on the left foot.
There were many strange things he did as well, too numerous to mention. He did that until we talked with the doctor and switched his medication, then he went back to normal.
So you see, you could have been on the wrong medication, one that was too strong for your small frame.
I'm glad you are okay now.
Sandie Angel :o)
I've been there before. Insomnia presnets itself a problem to me often, the doctor gave me something that seem to work with me, but mine was from pain and spasms due to my neuromusuclar condition.

Been there, done that, don't do it anymore...so don't you! Love and hugs, Bonnie
Yes, Linda.
I've given you 1000$ for a week. I didn't ask why, jast gave. So what now? You don't remember it and won't return it?
Nah, joking of course.
But seriously - You are licky to have such goog girlfriend and mate who love you Thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis much.
It didn't happen to me to foreget things (and if did, then I don't remember it) but it happened to not being able to sleep during the night. I half enjoyed it (could do things that otherwise I hadn't time for them) and half suffered (not so much during the night, though my eyes felt being out of rest, but especially the day after).
I think you did the best there was - you did something useful and enjoyable instead of lying in bed and suffering of insomnia. I cannot understand all those who complain that cannot sleep every night and lay in the bed and count seconds. Why? If you know tghat you cannot sleep, then do something. It's much better than just laying and thinking hoiwe miserable you are.
It's unfair from me to say, but after reading your insomnia writing, I'd like you won't sleep at least some nites a week. As I said, It's unfair to you, but it's enjoyabale for us, your readers.
