I love the heat, especially when it's a dry heat. Lived in Utah in 1980, in the Valley (Salt Lake City), it would get to 110. Felt like 85, 90 tops. Here in Texas, UGH ... feels like 110 when it's 99 or 100. LOL Don't mind the cold, it's the cold + wind that kills me. I'm just in the wrong state!! LOL Agree with Karen, though, living in "The Alley", underground shelters should be mandatory!!

Still, enjoyed a peek into what Arizona is like. Thanks for the instant vacation!! :)

Thanks for sharing your part of the world; but personally, I am trying to get back north--or would LOVE to!! I HATE Texas; I DO love my twin sister and my friends here, but I canNOT handle the heat here in the summer (having health problems just makes it worse!!), and it's not cold enough for my northern blood! Give me snow! Give me seasons! Give me fireplaces! Give me BASEMENTS!! Here in Tornado Alley, we do NOT have basements, and during svr wx season, I think basements or some other type of underground s helter should be made available to ALL, NOT just the rich!! It's CRAZY!! WHERE do we go to hide when a tornado is afoot?? Only in our teeny tiny claustrophobic half bath; you get two fat disabled chicks in there, and there ain't NO ROOM for a freekin' mattress (let alone, each other!!)! NOT good!!

I also don't like the influx of the illegals here; I am tired of having to listen to them speak (mostly) Spanish; they want US to learn THEIR language...well, how about THEM LEARNING OURS???? It's NOT fair, and it's NOT right!! I think that's rude to talk another language in front of someone who doesn't speak that particular language; if you want to live/work here, LEARN ENGLISH, or GET OUT!!! My grandfather, who came to America from Croatia when he was 14 (because of WW1), he HAD to learn English IF he wanted to work/live here, which he did! It wasn't easy, but by Gaw', he DID it! Why can't these people do the same????? That's one of my biggest pet peeves!!!!! GRRRRR!!!!!!
