Religion or non religion, it is a personal state of being that we can all chose to what we want to believe in. No one should try to force us to be anti any religion for that is not the way that a God would want us to behave. I too am an ex Catholic but I do not condemn anyone who is still a believer.

How exciting to have rec'd so many responses to this blog..I was never mad or angry...just disappointed! Each of you made some interesting and wonderful points...and bottom line I believe...is that...Church is supposed to be you and me...and the purpose of it all is to love, praise HIM...and somehow...He's been lost in the politics of it all...Which is why I think..many of us just love Him in our own private, personal ways...because He is the reason we believe.. I don't want to be a part of Hate...and I'm learning that God has given us the gift of Joy...so..let's be happy that He loves us..and cut the crap!.... thank you friends... hugs, lindalaw

It never ceases to amaze me that some Christian churches bash others...Isn't being a Christian all about being Christ-like?? So...I have trouble understanding where bashing and dividing fits into following Christ's example. I look at the extremists that are in the world and they are not full of love, but of hate...if our churches are teaching us to hate one another are we really any better than those extremists?
Kudos to you, Linda, for having the gumption and integrity to speak your heart.
We sure love you, Linda, and are so glad you are a part of our den family...

I think all had great comments but Larry said it best. We live in a world which is a wild mosaic of ideologies, all divided against each other, fighting each other, putting each other down ... because each of those ideologies wants to be the Top Dog in front of you. Ah, and that is the problem. You are the one who belongs to a church; the one who fills that collection plate. But the church leaders seem to have forgotten that ALL of the churches belong to God. Oops. Divided, we have fallen. If ALL of the ideologies would remember Who they are representing, we would have no more bigoted movies, and we might have the togetherness to work wonders in this world. Linda -- go git 'em!!!

Thank you for standing up for us, Linda. That showed a lot of class, in my opinion.
I’m a Catholic, and we would NEVER denigrate the faith of others. You might ask your group leader how it would feel if the shoe were on the other foot.

I grew up Catholic, and like you, was born again. I had problems with some of their doctrine, started questioning. Does that mean I hate the Catholics? No. I still have my Mom's rosary. I still remember how beautiful my church was.

Linda: My Nonna was a Catholic and one of the most spirtual woman I know, so I get offended when they talk about the Catholic church as well, I know from experience what the Mormon church is, so I won't go there, sometimes I think we dont always think before we show or do something that offends an entire religion! I am as proud of my Catholic roots as I am of being a born again Christian

Wow Linda you sure did have a full day. I was born a Catholic and yes a little of that stays with us and yes there is a lot I disagree with to. I believe in God and I am a good person and try to help all I can. I don't go to religion classes because I don't want to argue with them,lol. You stay safe, happy, healthy and out of trouble, always know there are a lot of us out here that love you to death and look forward to hearing from you. Thank you for sharing Linda.
