Hi Linda, I like to browse in the Goodwill store. You never know what you will find. I have found some amazing books in there. Mark twain!!! Can you imagine getting a book for 50cents??? wow!! I am a big fan of Mark Twain.

Dang, it is a shame that you and Patty don't live close to each other. You two would have a ball with Goodwill and the Dollar Stores (her favorite entertainment), and she is such a crack-up as she giggles through the goodies!

Linda...You are a treasure and yes I do the joys of being here at the den. I have found, confidence, self esteem and much support without judgement and sincere friendships.
I won't trade my time spent here, for nuttin' honey!!

Thrift stores are the bomb!!! ....the little things do add up though.

Oh cheez...I just noticed Bonnie's 2nd note... "Undressed"....hehe... I decided to make up my own word..."Un-depressed!" either way, you made me LAUGH! I love that so many of you have already discovered these great places to shop..duh! The whole time I was looking I was thinking..."I should call them and give them all that stuff I can't use".. I'm always giving away shoes and clothes, even with new tags, and we seem to keep a vicious cycle going! Carol, you hit the nail on the head too... I love what you said too Stuart...good idea..I love jkts with jeans!!! Fee, I love that you just humor me...so thank you sweet man. These blogs are boring to most when I write, but they are like medicine for me...so..thank you! hugs, lindalaw

hee, hee, hee... I had to laugh at Bonnie's and Carol's comments. Carol's was SO true! I don't go into them anymore for that reason! I found that bartering in Haiti was just as addictive! hee, hee... I can tell you how much I paid for each and every treasure I own from there. :~) (and I probably own more than I should... hee, hee...) As for Bonnie's comment....hee, hee, hee... Too funny!!

And for my own comment... I don't always comment on your daily blogs, but I sure do read them...they are so enjoyable and make me feel like I am sitting in your kitchen visiting with you. :~)
I collect windchimes so I am glad you got a good deal on a couple of them... makes me feel less alone in my vice. hee, hee...

Hi Linda,

I am not ashamed to say most of my clothes come courtesy of the thrift store! My mother volounteers one day a week and rings me after work with a list of her latest bargains!!!!

I have many suit jackets without the matching trousers....they go well with jeans!

Hi Linda,
So glad you experienced the thrift store. I have always went and found unusual and low priced items. The beautiful statue of the lovers dance I used in the poem for Rockie and Bridget...thrift store, $3.00
Be careful, they are addictive and you will buy things you do not need...because they are so cheap. Then you end up donating half the stuff back to them...and while you are there donating, you find more cheap stuff you do not need...and you buy it!
