Thanks for the facts! I have no superstitions...but many persons miss a whole day of life because of them! Maybe your posting will give them a new outlook on the 13TH

I was born on the 13th so I consider it lucky! Thanks for reminding me of the miracle of St. Paul's Cathedral. I almost forgot about it. Always appreciate your posts. Susan

Well, Dear Heart, you have taught me something new. I was born on Friday the 13th, in December, 1940, and I did not know about the miracle at "St. Paul's Cathedral, in London, on Friday the 13th in December, 1940" -- it was also, I believe, the Year of the Dragon in China, which is a powerful influence for good fortune in their tradition. Every Friday the 13th (any 13th, actually) has always produced wonderful surprises in my life, so it is a date that I always look forward to with happy anticipation. For Randall, I would always advise communing with Nature, our Mother :-)

The Chinese consider the number 13 as lucky, only the number 14 is bad.

The sound of the number 13 spoken in cantonese sounds like everything is "Alive"; while the number 14 is everything "be dead".

The Chinese don't like the number 4, and anything with the number 4.

When the Chinese Kung Fu artist, Bruce Li died, he was living in a house with the number 41 - so one being dead from that house, and he was the chosen "unlucky one" to be dead.
